Acharya Late Sri Somnath Chakraborty is the greatest astrology guru in India. He laid our foundng stonw with his great knowledge and guidance. He is no more with us. We are paying gratitude to our GURU and we will be thankful to him forever. He was interested in Astrology since his childhood, after his graduation he completed his Acharya degree and he started his practice in West Bengal. After the years of years of practice and great experience in astrology, an idea struck his mind, to open an Astrological School where he can educate lots of young talents, so that they can build their future for themselves and help others in doing so. With the help of his friends who are icon in astrology, he decided to open the astrological college in the name of "Soham Astrological Society" under which "college of Jyotirvidya" is functioning and it was established on 21st February 1989. It started with only two branches in kolkata , one in south and other one in North Kolkata. After achieving greater success to this initiative they later opened three more branches, they are in Mednipore, Bolpur and Tripura branch. Now at present this institution has become most popular in West Bengal and in other states. A big number of students get trained under his path every year, further many of his students are well placed in the Society and earning well and even supporting others. Most of the great astrologers in India is his student.

Acharya Late Sri Somnath Chakraborty is one of the regular person whose articles are publishing in Bhagyaphal, Jyotish Siddhant, Aggam Jyotish and he even wrote couple of books, which is available in his institution. He is also The President of "International Astro Federation of India Chapter". His talent in astrology is recognized by many of the Organization and he got awarded in many conference in India and Abroad. So he is now for us like a ICON in the field of astrology, due to his service in the field of astrology for more than 40 years. We are very sorry to loose him in 2021.
